Everton hijack bid to sign Hamza Igamane amid £15m Rangers exit drama
Everton have made a move to sign Rangers forward Hamza Igamane amid doubts surrounding a deal involving LOSC Lille.
Igamane, 22, enjoyed a strong start to life at Ibrox after joining Rangers from Moroccan side AS FAR Rabat last summer.
The one-time Morocco international scored 16 goals in 46 appearances across all competitions for the Glasgow club, who finished second in the Scottish Premiership and reached the quarter-finals of the Europa League.
Igamane scored against FCSB, eventual champions Tottenham and twice against OGC Nice in the competition last season.

Everton enquire about Igamane deal with Rangers
Now, there’s a scramble for Igamane’s signature and Everton have reportedly approached Rangers with an enquiry about the Moroccan.
Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri reported via his personal X account on Saturday night (19 July) that while Lille have agreed personal terms with Igamane, they’re yet to match Rangers’ asking fee for the striker.
It is understood that the move to France is “on hold”, which has opened the door to teams like Everton to hijack their deal.
Tavolieri adds that as well as the Toffees, Serie A side Udinese “have also made enquiries” about the 22-year-old hotshot, who was dubbed “phenomenal” by ex-Celtic striker Chris Sutton on Sky Sports last season.
How much would Igamane cost Everton?
Igamane is a young forward with very limited experience.
In fact, you could argue that he has zero experience in a top league having spent just one season in a Scottish Premiership that was once easily by Celtic.
Everton’s target was a left-field signing by Rangers last summer when he arrived from AS FAR Rabat, but there’s no doubt that this player has potential.

Is he good enough for a Premier League team, though?
If the Blues are going to buy Igamane, it’s been reported by the Daily Record this week that it’ll take £15million for them to strike a deal with Rangers.
