Everton now ‘likely’ to sign forward as Alan Myers drops bombshell
Everton are continuing their pursuit to bring in more players through the door in the transfer window.
David Moyes did a lot more than steady the ship and has earned the right to be backed by the owners this summer.
Thierno Barry has joined from Villarreal and Mark Travers also moved from Bournemouth, but work is still left to be done on many other deals.

Alan Myers claims that moves for a couple of forward players is “likely”
According to former Sky Sports news editor Alan Myers, a couple of forwards are likely to be signed by the Toffees this summer.
As is the case with every window, the Blues continue to be linked with a number of players.
It remains to be seen how many new faces they do end up bringing through the door once the transfer window closes.
Moyes is also likely to push for at least one more midfielder as Abdoulaye Doucoure needs to be replaced, as he left once his contract expired.
Everton need to sign a quality wide attacker
Everton need a goal-scoring wide attacker to complement Barry.
This stems from their persistent struggle to score goals, a problem exacerbated since Romelu Lukaku’s departure in 2017.
Last season, wingers Jesper Lindstrom and Jack Harrison offered minimal goal and assist contributions, highlighting a lack of creativity and finishing from wide areas.
Barry, a 6ft 5in striker with aerial prowess and quick finishing, needs dynamic wingers to supply crosses and create chances, enhancing his hold-up play and movement.
Signing a prolific winger like Takefusa Kubo could address this gap.
Such a player would add unpredictability, balance and goal-scoring threat, enabling the Toffees to transition from a defensively focused side to one capable of challenging top-half teams.
With Moyes’ tactical acumen and a strengthened squad, including recent signings like Barry, a creative wide attacker could elevate their attack, potentially securing a top-10 Premier League finish.
