Everton on verge of Jordan Pickford agreement as exit decision made
Everton have relied on Jordan Pickford in between the sticks for over eight years.
The England international signed for the Toffees back in 2017 after a hugely positive breakout season with Sunderland, despite their relegation.
There were genuine questions over the price tag for the 31-year-old at the time, but it is fair to say that he has repaid the faith shown on Merseyside.
Moving in what could prove to be his ninth season for the Blues, the Evertonians now look set to greenlight a summer agreement for Pickford.

Everton set to agree Pickford deal
There aren’t truly many goalkeepers better in the entire Premier League than the Toffees’ number one right now.
Despite showing some erratic tendencies earlier in his spell in L4, the Englishman has become a level-headed star in one of the best defences in the division.

Alongside James Tarkowski and Jarrad Branthwaite last season, the Blues had one of the best backlines despite initially struggling for form in the earlier stages of the campaign.
With that in mind, the latter was handed a new deal at the Hill Dickinson Stadium this summer, and there were hopes that Pickford would follow suit despite exit links.
Alan Nixon has reported via Patreon (20 July) that Goodison chiefs are hopeful of putting pen to paper on a new four-year deal for the number one.
As it stands, the 31-year-old is on a wage of £6million a year and will be looking for a sizable increase to stay on Merseyside until 2029.
With that in mind, the ex-Preston man hasn’t pushed for a move elsewhere in the Premier League as he continues to feel comfortable under David Moyes in L4.

Pickford to sign new deal in Everton coup
There is no doubt that tying down Pickford and Branthwaite this summer will prove to be two of the best signings the Evertonians can make.
The Toffees may have bought in Mark Travers from Bournemouth, but it is clear who they see as their number one, regardless of departure rumours.
It looks as if the Englishman wants to remain on Merseyside, and as a result, Moyes and Co. have to push forward and land a deal as quickly as possible.
