Everton ‘perfect destination’ for Jack Grealish despite what teammates say
Everton could launch an ambitious move for Jack Grealish this summer.
Manchester City are looking to part ways with the Englishman in the coming weeks with Grealish no longer part of Pep Guardiola’s plans.
And Everton are among several clubs interested in a potential deal, with a possible loan move touted as one way out for the winger.
David Moyes is in desperate need of further signings at The Hill Dickinson Stadium after the arrivals of Thierno Barry and Mark Travers.

Everton move ‘ideal’ for Grealish
Prior to his British-record £100million move to Manchester City, Grealish was arguably the most exciting player to watch in the Premier League.
Constantly running at his man and attempting audacious pieces of skill, the winger was practically given free rein to do what he wanted in a Villa shirt, and he thrived with that license.
The 2020/21 season saw Grealish score six goals and provide 12 assists in the Premier League, including one memorable match in which the Englishman directly contributed to five of Villa’s seven goals as they destroyed champions Liverpool 7-2.
His move to Manchester City removed that freedom, requiring now to abide by Guardiola’s oppressive, but effective, system.

That is not to say Grealish did not have positive moments at The Etihad, he did, and will retire with three Premier League titles and a Champions League to his name, thanks to the Spaniard.
But the Englishman now has a chance to recapture his former excitement at a new club, and Andy Dunn thinks Everton would be the perfect place to do so.
Writing for the Sunday Mirror (page 70, 20 July), Dunn revealed that Grealish’s Manchester City team-mates considered him to be a ‘rest-station’ – referring to his ability to keep possession or win a free-kick.
That fact has served as a discouraging reminder of the winger’s form at City, but the journalist believes he can return to his best.
Dunn wrote: “There has been talk of West Ham United and that would make some sense but Everton would be the ideal destination for Grealish.
“Moving into a fantastic new stadium on the river, there will be a buzz about the place.”
He continued: “In their new home, it is a new start for Everton – and it would be the ideal place for a new start for one of England’s most gifted footballers.”
Grealish could be incredible for Everton
Everton undoubtedly need an injection of flair into their team. Iliman Ndiaye currently provides that for Moyes, but the potential of seeing the Senegal international linking up with Grealish presents a tantalising prospect.
There will be a certain sense of pressure levelled against the Englishman if he does make the move, but perhaps that is exactly what he needs.
Aston Villa have progressed up the table in recent years, but the Villans were often near the bottom of the table during Grealish’s time there – and it was the midfielder who kept them alive.
