Everton ‘ready offensive’ to sign Igamane in potential £13m deal amid Rangers delay

Everton will be hoping to add some extra firepower to their team during this summer’s transfer window.

The Toffees only scored 42 goals in the Premier League last season, with only the three relegated teams scoring fewer. On top of that, they’ve lost their popular marksman Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

David Moyes has addressed the need for goals by signing Valencia striker Thierno Barry, but more forwards are needed.

Everton lining up bid for Hamza Igamane

Hamza Igamane is an exciting striker who has been linked with Everton for most of the summer.

The Moroccan forward hit 16 goals for Rangers during his first season in Scotland, but it’s believed that he’s for sale as the Glasgow club needs the money to finance improvements in other positions.

Everton haven’t made a bid for him yet, but Foot Mercato reports (20 July) that the Toffees are “preparing their offensive” with a view to signing the forward.

They will face competition for his signature from Rennes, Rotterdam and Udinese, so it’s in their best interests to act soon.

Igamane could be just what Everton need

Igamane may not be proven in a top-five European league, but he’s valued at around £13million by Rangers, and he’s worth a punt at that price.

The Moroccan has an abundance of natural skill. He loves to take on his defender, and he can score all types of goals. He proved that in the Scottish Premiership and the UEFA Europa League last season. A lot of Rangers fans are upset that he’s being considered for a sale.

He’s the type of player who gets fans out of their seats. A forward who can score a goal out of nothing. He could be the perfect foil for Barry, who is more of a target man. An attack containing these two would be worth the price of a ticket at the Hill Dickinson stadium.

Igamane is still raw. He has a lot to learn to become the finished product, but that’s why he should be delighted to work with Moyes, who has experience developing young strikers into proven stars.

If Moyes sees the potential in Igamane, a bid should be arriving shortly. This is one for Everton fans to get excited about if they can win the race to sign this talented forward.
