Everton ‘to make last-ditch Armstrong call’ as Derby and Hull want transfer
Harrison Armstrong could potentially see his future affected at Everton this transfer window amid interest from Derby County and Hull City.
The 18-year-old joined the Rams on loan in the winter transfer window and helped them avoid relegation from the Championship.
David Moyes is keeping a close eye on Armstrong during pre-season, and it will be interesting to see what the Scottish manager decides to do with him.
Derby want the English youngster back at Pride Park, but there are other teams in the second division keeping a close eye on him.

Blackburn Rovers, Derby and Hull want Armstrong as Everton decision mooted at end of August
A decision on Armstrong’s future at the Toffees may not be made until the end of August, Alan Myers says.
The former Sky Sports journalist believes the Blues won’t make an imminent call on the 18-year-old, with Blackburn Rovers, Derby and Hull keeping an eye on him.
Competition | Appearances | Goals | Minutes played |
Championship | 15 | 1 | 1106 |
Myers also feels the Englishman’s future at the Merseyside outfit depends on who is signed at the Hill Dickinson Stadium this summer.
The journalist wrote on X (21 July): “I read about interest from Blackburn, Derby and Hull for a Harrison Armstrong loan. I really don’t see any decisions being made about him till near the end of the window, and depending on who Everton bring in to the club.”
Moyes should give Armstrong a chance at Bramley-Moore Dock
Moyes should keep Armstrong at Bramley-Moore Dock this season and slowly integrate him into the first team setup.
The 18-year-old made a positive impression with his performances against Blackburn and Accrington Stanley during pre-season despite the Toffees’ struggles.
With the Scottish manager in need of several reinforcements at the Blues after multiple departures at the end of last season, it would make sense to keep the English youngster.
Everton lost Abdoulaye Doucoure as a free agent when his contract expired, and Harrison feels like the perfect replacement for the Mali international.
The Toffees have the likes of James Garner, Idrissa Gueye, Tim Iroegbunam and Carlos Alcaraz at their disposal, and the 18-year-old may be able to compete for a spot in the team.
After a successful spell at Derby, it isn’t surprising to see the English midfielder being eyed by other Championship clubs.
While a loan could potentially be a sensible option to further Armstrong’s development, only time will tell what the Merseyside outfit will decide.
