Harrison Armstrong ‘earns Everton senior promotion’ after what he just did
Everton are set to name their squad for when they travel to the United States this week.
David Moyes will have a lot to consider following the Toffees’ 1-0 defeat to Blackburn Rovers, with some senior players taking a bit longer to get up to speed.
Given their current lack of depth, there isn’t expected to be any surprise omissions from the squad that travels to America, but Moyes could look to his youth to bolster his options.
Harrison Armstrong looks set to benefit from that.

Harrison Armstrong and Isaac Heath earn their place
Armstrong has impressed during pre-season.
The 18-year-old has been useful in central midfield while the Toffees continue their search for a replacement for Abdoulaye Doucoure.
Armstrong looked bright despite Everton‘s defeat to Blackburn and was promising in their draw with Accrington.
There is no shortage of excitement surrounding the 18-year-old, especially after his hugely positive loan spell at Derby County in the Championship.

The youngster hasn’t been scared to get on the ball and make things happen during pre-season, which has put Moyes in no rush to sign a midfielder.
On the left wing, Isaac Heath has also made an impact over the last few weeks.
The 20-year-old has looked fruitful during pre-season, and now could be an ideal opportunity for the youngster to break into David Moyes’ side.
Everton again lack depth on the wings, and given that Jack Harrison’s potential return to the Toffees is in doubt, Heath could be allowed to prove that he is worthy of first-team football.

Everton transfer woes will benefit their youth
Everton are still battling away in the transfer window.
The Toffees are understood to be keen on former Villa midfielder Douglas Luiz, but supporters are growing frustrated over their lack of business.
However, pre-season games against Premier League opposition such as Manchester United will give Moyes a more realistic view as to where his youngsters are in terms of ability.
Should the team not live up to expectations, there is no doubt that the focus on transfers will ramp up.
