‘Moyes to push for Igamane transfer’ as door opens for Everton to land Rangers star
Everton have emerged as a potential suitor for Rangers star Hamza Igamane over the last few days.
The striker notched 16 goals and three assists in all competitions for the Gers last term, in what was his first taste of European football.
Everton are understood to be preparing an offer for Igamane, who has been linked with an exit from Rangers since the start of the summer.
David Moyes’ side are seemingly in the market for another striker, and the Scottish boss could be set to have a huge sway on where the frontman plays his football next season.

Lille’s stall has left the door open for Everton
Everton’s interest in Igamane has received a major boost with the news that Lille have yet to actually match Rangers’ asking price for the 22-year-old.
The French side have had personal terms agreed with the striker for a lengthy period now, but are still seemingly no closer towards getting the deal over the line.
That has left the door open for the Toffees to force their way in and beat Lille to the transfer, and Moyes will surely be at the forefront of that push as the Merseysiders look to get the Moroccan through the door.
The 62-year-old has had success in the past when using his contacts north of the border to help sign players, with the likes of Steven Naismith and Nikica Jelavic being strong additions during his previous stint in charge.
Duncan Ferguson was another former Rangers frontman to make a successful switch to Everton, and now Igamane could become the latest.

Igamane would be a great signing for Rangers
There are few managers in the Premier League with a better eye for a player than Moyes, and he could be about to exercise his knowledge again to add Igamane to his ranks.

The Moroccan came from nowhere to star for the Gers last term, and that clearly hasn’t gone unnoticed around Europe, given the interest that has mounted in him over the last few weeks.
Everton have already brought in Thierno Barry this summer, which would likely make the youngster a backup option at first. However, that could be an ideal way to help him settle in and ease some of the pressure on him while he adapts to English football.
Throw in the fact that Igamane would also be a more cost-effective option than a more high-profile frontman, and he could turn out to be the latest Moyes masterstroke for Everton.
