Everton could sell Beto as ‘huge transfer treasure’ now on cards
Beto could be on the verge of a move to Italy.
After previously being linked with a move to Leeds United in the summer, the Everton striker has now been suggested as an option abroad.
Despite netting eight goals in just 15 Premier League starts, the 27-year-old looks like he will be behind new arrival Thierno Barry in the pecking order to lead the line for Everton next season.
Following the releases of high-profile names such as Abdoulaye Doucoure and Dominic Calvert-Lewin, a big sale could further free up some resources for David Moyes to reinvest.

Beto being looked at by Atalanta amid recent exit
Beto will be frustrated that wingers of Takefusa Kubo’s quality were not transfer targets when he was starting for the Toffees.
Corriere Della Serra has reported in its print edition (22 July, pg 6) that the Guinea-Bissau international is an option for Atalanta.
Following the big-money sale of Mateo Retegui to the Saudi Pro League, the Serie A outfit are on the lookout for a striker to replace the Italian, who netted 25 goals and registered eight assists last season.
Along with Beto, Atalanta are also said to be interested in Nikola Krstovic from Lecce to fill the void in their side left by Retegui.
Ademola Lookman could also be sold, leaving the Italians with a potential “huge treasure” to spend.

Atalanta’s shortlist could take away bargaining power from Everton
Given Atalanta’s extensive shortlist of options to replace Retegui, the Blues will be potentially unable to drive a hard bargain for the sale of Beto.
However, with Retegui being sold for £56million and former Everton player Lookman also potentially being sold for around £35million, clubs will know Atalanta will have money to spend this summer.
This could potentially help the Toffees in any negotiations as they look to recoup as much of the £25.75million they paid for Beto as possible.
