Everton news round-up: Kubo offer ready as Igamane medical update emerges

Everton are set to enter the new season with a revamped squad.

The Friedkin Group have backed David Moyes with three transfers so far, as Carlos Alcaraz, Thierno Barry and Mark Travers have joined the Hill Dickinson Stadium revolution.

They could step up that business in the coming weeks as the Scotsman puts the finishing touches to his squad ahead of the campaign after a 13th-placed finish last time out.

Branthwaite to force Moyes into the market after worrying Everton update

Jarrad Branthwaite is a crucial player for Everton, but they may be forced into the transfer market after a worrying new update.

The Bobble confirmed via X (23 July) that the Blues star has not travelled on the tour of the USA due to a minor injury.

While it is a precautionary measure, it could make Moyes and Co dip into the market due to his constant fitness problems.

Moyes to hold talks with Vagiannidis after incident

Everton have been linked with Panathinaikos star Georgios Vagiannidis this summer.

The Greek defender was involved in a controversial incident in the UEFA Champions League qualifying clash with Rangers (22 July).

Former FIFA referee Keith Hackett believes that Moyes would want words with the 23-year-old if he was to sign for the Blues.

Speaking exclusively to Goodison News, he said: “Moyes will offer the appropriate advice to stop him (Vagiannidis) from doing this type of action.”

“I witnessed this many years ago when Marouane Fellaini joined Everton.

“Moyes was in control.

He called me into Finch Farm to try to resolve the issue of Fellaini getting yellow-carded on several occasions. The problem was resolved, and Fellaini’s yellow cards reduced in time.”

Everton medical update shared on Igamane

Everton have been linked with Rangers star Hamza Igamane for the majority of the summer.

The Ibrox ace would have no problems clearing a medical with the Toffees if a deal progresses in the coming weeks, according to Dr. Rajpal Brar.

Speaking exclusively to Goodison News (23 July), he said: “Had an injury-free 2024/25 season and that bodes well for a Premier League club looking to sign him.

“While the adaptation might take a while as he’s moving to a more physical and competitive league, he would at least be acclimatised to the UK weather.

“I also do not see him facing any issues clearing his medical.”

Everton prepare £34.6m offer for Kubo

Everton have identified Real Sociedad star Takefusa Kubo as a potential solution to their problems on the right wing.

A report from Spanish outlet Fijaches (22 July) claims that the Blues are preparing a £36.4million offer for the Japanese star.

It states that the La Liga side will not consider an offer for the 24-year-old unless it is a substantial one.
