Jack Harrison reacts to new Everton footage straight from Hill Dickinson Stadium

Jack Harrison recently left Everton after his second season in Merseyside on loan from Leeds United.

Whilst the 28-year-old had a disappointing campaign last time out, his future in West Yorkshire remains uncertain, and the winger could potentially return to the Blues.

Harrison was booed in pre-season by Leeds supporters, with the fanbase seemingly wanting to see the back of the Englishman.

David Moyes is said to want Harrison back with his squad, but whether a suitable fee for both clubs can be negotiated is unclear.

Harrison reacts to the first goal in the Hill Dickinson Stadium

Although Harrison may want to play his football inside the new Hill Dickinson Stadium next season, it may be a reality that is not afforded to him off the back of his poor year.

The Toffees have also been linked with other wingers, such as Takefusa Kubo, with the Japanese international being a considerable upgrade on Harrison.

With pre-season preparations well underway for Moyes’ side, a historic first season in their new stadium awaits.

Carlos Alcarez managed to make a bit of history for himself, too, in pre-season, with the midfielder becoming the first Everton Men’s player to score at the Hill Dickinson Stadium in a 2-1 win over Port Vale.

Everton posted the footage of the pinpoint strike to their Instagram account (22 July), where Harrison and his former teammate, Asmir Begovic, reacted to the post by liking it.

Everton should avoid bringing Harrison back

After recording just one goal and failing to register an assist in 34 Premier League appearances last season, the Toffees need to sign a better calibre of player if they want to climb up the table under Moyes.

In a strange plot twist, he could start the season against Everton, as they travel to Elland Road to take on Leeds upon their return to the big time.

An ambitious marquee signing like Jack Grealish could be the exact statement of intent Everton need as they usher in this new era.

If Moyes could reignite the England international’s career in Merseyside, then Harrison will become forgotten about rather quickly.

Douglas Luiz could also be on his way to L3, as Everton could potentially be a far more dangerous side than they were last season if they are to land these transfer targets.
