Douglas Luiz agents hold talks as Everton have £34.8m no-brainer transfer call
Everton have been presented with a massive opportunity to sign Juventus midfielder Douglas Luiz this transfer window.
The 27-year-old has struggled at the Serie A outfit after leaving Aston Villa, and the Brazil international’s return to the Premier League could be on the cards.
Luiz wants to leave Juventus in the coming weeks, and the Toffees have emerged as one of the candidates for his signature.
The former Manchester City ace didn’t show up to the Italian club’s training camp on Thursday (24 July), and his agents have now gotten in touch with the Bianconeri.

Juventus told Luiz will return next week as Everton should move quick for transfer
Luiz’s representatives have told Juventus that he will return to their training centre next week, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.
The Sky Sports journalist reports (25 July) that the midfielder’s entourage have held talks with the Serie A outfit, but the reason for his absence wasn’t discussed.
It’s been claimed that the relationship between Juventus and Luiz is broken, with the Italian club wanting £34.8million for him amid interest from the Merseyside outfit.

The Friedkin Group arguably have a no-brainer decision to seal a deal for the 27-year-old quickly, as other top teams will undoubtedly want to sign him.
While the Brazil international has struggled to fulfil his potential in Turin, his exploits in the Premier League with Villa are well-known.

David Moyes should push for more quality transfers at Bramley-Moore Dock
David Moyes has taken Harrison Armstrong and several other youngsters with him on the Toffees’ pre-season tour due to the size of the first-team squad.
The Blues lost a significant amount of depth from their squad at the end of last season, with a number of players leaving after their contracts expired.
Abdoulaye Doucoure was one of the midfielders who left the Merseyside outfit recently, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see them reinforce their engine room this summer.
Everton have signed Carlos Alcaraz permanently from Flamengo, but they could certainly do with more quality in the middle of the park.
Luiz may be a game-changing transfer for Moyes as he looks to make further progress in L5 next season, but it remains to be seen how his situation unfolds at Juventus.
