Everton on verge of Adam Aznou transfer amid £7m twist
Everton are reportedly prioritising a move for Bayern Munich defender Adam Aznou in the coming weeks.
The Toffees are believed to be in the hunt for a new left-back as Vitalii Mykolenko is the only senior player in that role.
The 19-year-old has emerged as a target with David Moyes keen on more options at full-back.

Everton make progress to sign Aznou for £7m+ fee
According to The Athletic (26 July), the Toffees are making progress to bring the Bayern Munich player to Merseyside.
Everton are keen on Aznou and a fee of £7.82million is being discussed to sign him.
The teenager is viewed as a more attacking option at left-back, following Ashley Young’s departure at the end of June.
He’s made just four senior appearances for Bayern since joining from Barcelona in 2022 and an exit appears to be on the cards for him this summer.

Moyes should quickly look to integrate Aznou into the first-team setup
Moyes needs more attacking output from his full-backs, which makes it imperative for him to fast-track Aznou’s progress.
While Mykolenko has done a decent job for Everton, the view to signing the Morocco international is for him to eventually become the first choice.
Team | Matches played | Goals | Assists |
FC Bayern II | 18 | – | 1 |
FC Bayern U19 | 15 | 2 | 2 |
Real Valladolid | 13 | – | – |
FC Bayern YL | 13 | 3 | 5 |
FC Bayern U17 | 9 | 2 | 1 |
Bayern Munich | 4 | – | – |
The Toffees boss can leverage his experience in nurturing young talent by integrating Aznou into first-team training, focusing on his technical and tactical development as a left-back.
Moyes should provide him with regular substitute appearances and occasional starts in cup competitions to build confidence and experience, as he did with young players at different clubs.
Individualised coaching, emphasising Aznou’s dribbling and crossing, can enhance his attacking contribution. Moyes’ positive training environment, as seen with Beto, can boost Aznou’s morale.
Mentorship from Mykolenko and also Leighton Baines could further accelerate his growth.
