Everton v West Ham preview: Team news, lineups, prediction
David Moyes is set for a reunion with his former side as Everton prepare for next season.
The Toffees will play West Ham in the United States on Wednesday (30 July) as they continue their preseason tour following their 3-0 loss to Bournemouth.
Everton will be looking to improve on that performance, with Moyes’ side now ramping up their transfer activity.
The Blues have had an eye-opening start to the summer after a 1-1 draw to Accrington and a 1-0 defeat to Blackburn, and they will be looking to give supporters something to look forward to after Wednesday’s game.

Everton v West Ham preview
Moyes has yet to establish his first team squad this summer, having lost much of their squad depth at the end of last season.
Everton will be low on confidence after a turbulent showing against Bournemouth, and should they replicate the performance on Wednesday, the Toffees could find themselves fast-tracking their summer plans.
Meanwhile, West Ham won’t be as fresh as the Blues this summer.
The Hammers have only played two friendlies, a 3-1 win against Swiss side Grasshoppers and a 2-1 defeat to Manchester United.
Much like Everton, the Irons have had a slow start to the summer but are now hacking away at the transfer window.
Team News
Moyes will continue to assess his squad after an unpredictable summer so far.
Star defender Jarrad Branthwaite has picked up an injury when Everton were beaten by Blackburn earlier in the summer, and it’s unlikely that he will return in time for the start of the Premier League season.

Captain Seamus Coleman and James Tarkowski are expected to miss out, with Charly Alcaraz and James Garner, who got on the scoresheet in the last game against Port Vale, expected to start.
Mark Travers could again feature and the Hammers are expected to go full strength, with Emerson absent as he has been told he can leave.
Predicted lineups
Everton: Travers; Patterson, O’Brien, Keane, Mykolenko; Alcaraz, Gueye, Garner, McNeil, Ndiaye, Beto
West Ham: Areola, Wan-Bissaka, Todibo, Kilman, Aguerd, Diouf, Guido Rodriguez, Ward-Prowse, Soucek, Bowen, Fullkrug

Prediction Everton 2-0 West Ham
Everton have an opportunity to finally make progress in preseason.
The opposition were below average against a poor Manchester United side and are in a similar situation in terms of squad depth to the Toffees.
Hopefully, against a team out of sorts, Moyes can finally get his team up and running.
