Everton look for Luiz transfer compromise as Juventus priority emerges

Everton could potentially quickly seal a move for Juventus midfielder Douglas Luiz this transfer window.

The 18-cap Brazil international has struggled for regular game time in Turin, and it’s no surprise to see him being linked with an exit.

Luiz has emerged as a target at Baramley-Moore Dock, and the Toffees have an opportunity to seal an ambitious move for him.

The ex-Aston Villa star could link up with David Moyes in the coming weeks, with the Blues leading the race for his signature.

Juventus want to sell Everton transfer target Luiz

Juventus are prioritising Luiz’s sale amid interest from the Toffees, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

The news outlet reports in its print edition (30 July, page 10) that the Serie A outfit are looking to cash in on the 27-year-old, who insists on returning to England, where he arguably played his best football.

It’s been claimed that talks are ongoing between the Blues and the Italian club as they work on an economic compromise regarding the midfielder’s transfer.

The situation will certainly be one to keep an eye on for the Merseyside outfit’s supporters as Luiz represents an exciting opportunity in the market.

Tim Iroegbunam to leave after Luiz transfer

Sheffield United want Tim Iroegbunam in the ongoing transfer window, but it remains to be seen whether the Toffees will let him leave.

As things stand, the Blues evidently lack depth in the engine room, with Moyes having to include several academy players for the Premier League Summer Series.

The Merseyside outfit wouldn’t want to lose another first-team player before further reinforcements arrive.

Moyes has urged more signings at Everton before the end of August, and The Friedkin Group (TFG) must do all they can to back him.

The American owners will certainly have links in Italy as they also own Roma, and should use them to seal the deal for Luiz.

If the Brazil international does arrive at the Hill Dickinson Stadium ahead of next season, that may leave the door open for Iroegbunam’s exit.
