Everton receive answer for Assane Diao transfer in latest after £38.7m offer

Everton could potentially complete a mega deal for Como forward Assane Diao this transfer window.

David Moyes has urged The Friedkin Group (TFG) to make several new signings amid the Toffees’ lack of squad depth.

Adam Aznou’s move from Bayern Munich has been announced, making him the Blues’ fourth addition this summer.

The Merseyside outfit also recently made an ambitious bid to strengthen their attack, but it looks like more work needs to be done in negotiations.

Como want £64.6m for Everton transfer target Diao

Como rejected a £38.7million offer for Diao in recent days, according to Sportmediaset.

The news outlet reports (29 July) that the Toffees have been told to pay £64.6m for the 19-year-old gem, with the Serie A outfit looking to make a hefty profit on him.

It’s been claimed that the Blues have returned to sign the Senegal international, after making an attempt during his time at Real Betis.

With such a hefty price tag on Diao, it remains to be seen whether the Merseyside outfit will make another approach for his signature.

Diao rightfully highly rated amid interest from David Moyes

While the Toffees are targeting Olympique Marseille forward Malick Fofana, discussions have also taken place for Diao.

The 19-year-old made a name for himself at Betis before joining Como in the winter transfer window.

At the Serie A outfit, the versatile Senegalese winger instantly became a key player for Cesc Fabregas, helping them finish 10th in the league table.

Everton also have Manchester City’s Jack Grealish on their radar, but the England international’s move to Bramley-Moore Dock seems unrealistic.

Supporters had high hopes for TFG in the ongoing transfer window, but they have arguably been left disappointed so far.

The Blues seem to be in desperate need of reinforcements, and only time will tell who they will end up signing before the end of August.
