Here’s what Everton have told Ndidi to convince him to join them – Ex-Moyes ally
Everton could be in line to have Wilfred Ndidi playing regularly within their midfield this term.
The 28-year-old had another steady season last time out, despite the fact that his Leicester side were relegated, and David Moyes’ side could be prepared to hand him a route back to the Premier League.
Everton have shown an interest in signing Ndidi, who could finally be about to move on from the Foxes after spending the last eight-and-a-half years with the East Midlands outfit.
The Merseysiders made an attempt to land the Nigerian international last summer, only to be thwarted by Leicester’s offer of a new contract, but they appear keen to take him once again this time around.

This article includes exclusive comment from former Everton scout Bryan King.
Moyes could get a likely regular in Ndidi for just £9m
Everton could potentially get their hands on Ndidi for as little as £9million this summer, and they will be thankful for the new contract he signed last year if that move does come to fruition.
Leicester’s relegation triggered a release clause in the midfielder’s deal that could now allow him to leave for a cut-price fee.
That has understandably attracted plenty of attention already this summer, with the Toffees and Manchester United having both shown an interest.
- Ndidi has already made 220 Premier League appearances
- He also has experience for Leicester in all three major European club competitions
- He was part of the Foxes squads that won both the Premier League and the FA Cup
Ex-Goodison scout Bryan King – speaking exclusively to Goodison News – believes that Ndidi presents a great opportunity for Moyes to get a new regular for his team at a bargain fee.
“He’s got a lot of Premier League experience,” King said.
“And how many players can you pick up with that level of experience for just £9m?
“He must be of interest. Moyes is trying to strengthen the squad, and there are positions at Everton that need cover.
“I would imagine he’s (Ndidi) being told that if the Everton move is there for him, he’s certainly going to be in a position to play regular football again, as he did at Leicester.”
Ndidi signing should be a no-brainer for Everton
It has been no secret that Moyes wants to strengthen the midfield at Everton this summer, and Ndidi could provide an ideal option for the Scot.
He was a staple of a Premier League engine room at Leicester for several years, and at 28, he surely still has plenty to give at the top level of English football.
Ndidi has also represented his country on 54 occasions at senior level, and the opportunity to add a player of his level of experience and nous for just £9m should not be sniffed at.
Moyes has recently expressed his frustration at the way in which the Toffees’ window has played out so far, but surely this will be a ‘no-brainer’ of a deal for them.
