Everton transfer round-up: Douglas Luiz call as bid made for Brazilian
Everton are in desperate need of players before the start of the Premier League season.
The Toffees have had an awful pre-season to date, which has heightened fears over relegation from the Premier League.
Everton lost to West Ham in the week, with David Moyes’ side yet to win a match this summer.
As a result, rumours are now in overdrive as the Scotsman looks to quickly reinforce his squad. Below, Goodison News has provided a round-up of all of the latest from Merseyside.

Everton chase Dibling
Dibling was one of Southampton’s better players in the Premier League last season.
The 19-year-old impressed despite the Saints’ relegation and is now linked with a quick return to the top-flight. Reports suggest that Dibling is open to leaving Southampton for Everton this summer.
Everton are also keen to complete the deal, as they view the pursuit as worth it given Dibling’s desire to move to the Toffees.

Everton make Luiz call
Luiz has been heavily linked to Everton this summer.
The Brazil international has struggled at Juventus since his move from Aston Villa last year. Now, the midfielder is looking to seal a quick move return to the Premier League, with Moyes keen on making this a reality.
On Friday (1 August), it was claimed that both Nottingham Forest and Everton have been in direct contact with Luiz’s camp and have called in recent days. Juventus are set to demand £34.5million to part with the Brazilian.

West Ham table £6.9m bid for Victor
Another Brazilian who has been linked with a move to Everton is Victor.
The goalkeeper has impressed at Botafogo and recently featured in the FIFA Club World Cup.
John Victor stats over the last year | Per 90 minutes |
Goals against | 0.69 |
Save percentage | 81.2% |
Saves percentage on penalty kicks | 25% |
Clean sheet percentage | 48.9% |
However, Moyes could now miss out on the goalkeeper, with West Ham making a £6.9m bid for Victor.
Galatasaray and Manchester United are also in the race for the 29-year-old, and it remains to be seen where Victor ends up this summer.
