Hayden Hackney to clear medical as Everton eye transfer
Everton are reportedly keen on signing Middlesbrough midfielder Hayden Hackney ahead of Tottenham, Manchester United and Ipswich Town.

Hackney is expected to clear any potential medical in the coming weeks, despite his recent knee injury, according to Dr Brar.
It’s understood to only be a minor setback, and Boro do not want to risk him in pre-season.

Speaking about Hackney, Dr Brar told Goodison News: “He’s currently got an issue with his knee, but it’s understood to be a minor one, with the manager talking about not risking things in pre-season.
“Last season, he was available for most of the games, which is a positive. I do not see him facing issues with his medical.”
Everton may have to abandon their pursuit of Hackney
Everton’s pursuit of Hackney may falter due to his reported preference to join Tottenham.
The Englishman has impressed with his ball-playing ability and tenacity, fitting Moyes’ midfield vision.
