Everton interested in striker who ‘hugely impressed’ Arsenal, £13m+ bid ready

David Moyes is looking to bring in a second striker this summer.

Two weeks from now, Everton will mark their return to Premier League action with a clash against newly-promoted Leeds United.

Moyes will be keen to add a handful of new faces to his squad before then, and it seems as though a second striker is high up on the list of priorities.

Thierno Barry’s arrival has already bolstered the attack significantly on Merseyside, and the Toffees are looking to repeat that.

Franculino attracting interest ahead of potential summer exit

Franculino isn’t exactly a household name in football, but it may not be long until he is with the way he is performing for FC Midtjylland.

The 21-year-old has scored 38 goals in 77 games for the Danish outfit, including five in four so far this season.

According to a report in the print edition of Ekstra Bladet (pg15, 4 August), Everton have shown an interest in the forward, though it is Bologna who are ready to make a bid worth over £13million.

Several clubs have been monitoring the development of a striker who, according to HITC, had “hugely impressed” Arsenal scouts back in 2024.

Franculino has made 12 senior appearances for Guinea-Bissau, the same nation which Beto represents.

Everton need attacking reinforcements

There is still a lot of work to be done for the Toffees this summer, and bolstering their attack further will be high up on the list of priorities.

Adding another midfielder will also be key ahead of the new campaign, and Moyes will be hoping that these efforts can be accelerated over the next few days.

Everton have added four new faces to their squad so far this summer, with the arrival of Adam Aznou from Bayern Munich the latest.
