How much Dewsbury-Hall deal could cost as Everton in talks with Chelsea
Everton are inching closer to agreeing a deal with Chelsea for midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.
Dewsbury-Hall only made the switch to London a year ago, when he followed his former Leicester City boss Enzo Maresca to Stamford Bridge.
The midfielder failed to secure a starting place, and with Chelsea undergoing a clear-out this summer, Everton are looking to take advantage.
Everton to pay at least £45.8million for Dewsbury-Hall

Ultimately, the move has failed to materialise, and despite links with Middlesbrough’s Hayden Hackney, Everton have gone for a midfielder with more Premier League experience.
Dewsbury-Hall has demonstrated that he can perform in a turbulent Leicester side and has also shown promise when featuring for Chelsea.

With the Premier League’s big spenders now looking to clear out their unwanted players, the Toffees are closing in on a move for their midfielder.
According to journalist Alan Myers on X (4 August), Everton and Chelsea have agreed an initial £25million fee for the transfer of Dewsbury-Hall, plus add-ons.
This means Chelsea could make a loss on the Englishman, who signed for £30m last summer and is tied down to a contract until 2030.
According to Capology, the 26-year-old is on £80,000 a week, which is a base salary of £4,160,000 a year in London.
Everton are likely to at least match that wage, with the likes of Jarrad Branthwaite being given a pay rise to £120,000 a week.
Therefore, if the Toffees pay Dewsbury-Hall £80,000-per-week across a five-year contract, while parting with an initial £25m, the total package is likely to cost Everton at least £45.8m.
Dewsbury-Hall is a smart signing
Everton have done well not to get dragged into bidding wars this summer.
Though supporters will be frustrated by their lack of business, Dewsbury-Hall is a reward for the Toffees’ patience. The Blues may have to wait again before their next signing, but if they are anything like their latest incoming, it will be worth the wait.
