Everton to announce Dewsbury-Hall transfer in hours after medical update
Everton are set to sign Chelsea midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.
The 26-year-old will join the Toffees after spending one season at Stamford Bridge, where he struggled for regular game time under Enzo Maresca.
Dewsbury-Hall will move to Everton in a deal worth around £25million, making him the fifth arrival at the Hill Dickinson Stadium this summer.
The ex-Leicester City star will definitely contribute under David Moyes in L5, and the Blues may officially announce his arrival in the coming hours.
Dewsbury-Hall’s Everton medical to take place
Dewsbury-Hall is set to undergo his medical before completing his move to the Toffees, according to The Athletic.
The news outlet reports that the Englishman’s medical will take place on Tuesday (5 August), but may continue until Wednesday (6 August).
It’s been claimed that the Blues identified reinforcing the midfield as one of their priorities after Abdoulaye Doucoure’s exit, and the Chelsea ace will soon be part of Moyes’ squad.
While Dewsbury-Hall has struggled to find his feet in West London, the Scottish manager will hope to bring the best out of him on Merseyside.
Moyes to unlock Dewsbury-Hall’s potential
Dewsbury-Hall was arguably the best Championship midfielder in the 2023/24 campaign, leading Leicester to Premier League promotion.
The English national has impressive passing range, dribbling skills, ability on set-pieces and is capable of creating and scoring chances.
At Chelsea, the 26-year-old showed glimpses of his talent in the UEFA Conference League and the Club World Cup, which Maresca’s team won.
