David Moyes’ problems solved in one swoop as exciting Jack Grealish update delivered

Everton are interested in signing Manchester City outcast Jack Grealish, and there has now been a major update.

Grealish is Man City’s record signing, but has fallen down the pecking order under Pep Guardiola and is now searching for first-team opportunities.

Everton need additions in attacking midfield and out wide, and Grealish could be seen as the perfect fit if he can revive his form.

David Moyes is crying out for new signings, and he will certainly love the latest development over former Aston Villa ace Grealish.

Everton advance in talks for Grealish

Everton are in talks with Man City over the signing of Grealish, in what is expected to be a straight loan deal to ensure the 30-year-old gets a fresh start in the Premier League.

Grealish joined City for £100 million in 2021, but has struggled in the last two years, and his side have since signed several players across his positions.

This could work well in Everton’s favour, as Moyes can help Grealish revitalise his career. The England international can play in attacking midfield or on the wing, and would slot straight into the team.

Moyes has previously praised Grealish, and in 2021 he described him as the “best” player in the Premier League.

“He is a really good player and probably the best player in the Premier League at this time,” Moyes stated of Grealish in August 2021.

‘He has done such a big job at that club and is probably the best player in the league right now.’

Daily Mail journalist Dominic King has now reported via X that talks are progressing well, and that Grealish is open to the idea of a loan move to Everton, who are clearly keen on signing him.

Moyes gets his wish with Grealish

Everton have signed Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Thierno Barry, but do want more quality and depth in wide areas and attacking midfield.

Moyes has repeatedly emphasised the need to strengthen his squad, and with Everton losing 1-0 to Roma in their final pre-season game, attacking positions clearly need reinforcing.

It has been a frustrating window with several targets rejecting a move to the Hill Dickinson Stadium, but landing Grealish, even on loan, would be a major coup.

Moyes can get the best out of Grealish, as he has done with several other players, and being the main man at Everton could be the perfect move for him to kick-start his career after a few difficult years as a side-show at City.
