‘Everton set for £90,000-a-week Jack Grealish agreement’ as details of loan shared
Everton appear to be on the verge of securing Jack Grealish’s signature.
The England international’s time at Manchester City is drawing to a close, after tensions between him and Pep Guardiola came to a head earlier in the summer.
Everton have been in talks with Grealish over the last few days, as they are prepared to offer him a way out of the Etihad Stadium after he was left out of City’s Club World Cup squad.
David Moyes has been desperate to add a statement signing to his ranks ahead of the upcoming campaign, and it now looks as if he could be about to get his way.

This article includes exclusive comment from former Everton scout Bryan King.
Everton to pay £90,000 a week as Grealish agrees to loan move
Everton have been pursuing Grealish for several weeks now, but they have been facing plenty of competition from the likes of West Ham and Aston Villa.
However, the Merseysiders have now taken a major step forward in their bid to land the 29-year-old, with Grealish now widely thought to have agreed to a season-long loan switch to the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
The financial details of the deal are still being settled by the two clubs, but with Grealish thought to earn around £300,000-a-week according to Capology estimates, Everton will undoubtedly have to pay a hefty chunk of those wages.
- Grealish is thought to be on a weekly wage of around £300,000
- That would out him as City’s second-highest earner behind Erling Haaland
- He started just seven Premier League games in 2024/25
Ex-Goodison scout Bryan King – speaking exclusively to Goodison News – believes that the Toffees may have to pay around £90,000-a-week as part of the deal, but also adds that they be able to negotiate an option to buy.
“I would imagine Everton will pay around £90,000 (per week),” King said.
“He (Grealish) is under contract at Manchester City, and they obviously don’t want him at the football club.
“They put him on that money, so until he decides to leave or is sold, they’ve got to pay the majority of the money, as far as I’m concerned.
“I would imagine City will pay the majority of his wages, and they’ll be topped up by Everton, potentially with an option to buy if he does do well.”

Grealish deal will be a huge statement
The Friedkin Group are hugely ambitious with their plans for Everton, and it would be a serious statement of their intent if they could get a deal for Grealish over the line.
Even though it will only be a loan deal at the moment, the wideman is somebody who has a huge reputation on and off the pitch, and he is perfect to become the new figurehead for the Toffees as they move into a new era.
If Moyes can afford him the freedom to roam and dictate games, then he could become one of the Premier League’s biggest stars once again.
When at his best, there are few players around who are more exciting than Grealish.
