Conor Coady has already explained why David Moyes must sign ‘sensational’ Everton target
David Moyes ordered more signings through the door at Everton, and the board are granting him that wish.
On Monday, it was revealed that Grealish had agreed a loan move to Everton from Manchester City, with the Toffees set to pay around £15million to acquire his services.
The 29-year-old has seen his stock plummet at Man City after falling down the pecking order under Pep Guardiola, but David Moyes will be hopeful of helping him get back to his best.
Thomas Tuchel has already said that the Englishman playing regular football could see him return to international reckoning, and Moyes will deploy Grealish as a number 10 in his system.
Encouragingly for Everton, it isn’t just the former Aston Villa maestro who could move to the Hill Dickinson Stadium, with one Leicester City star now on their radar.

What Conor Coady has said about ‘sensational’ Abdul Fatawu
After news of Grealish agreeing a transfer to Merseyside broke, Alan Myers revealed that Everton have an interest in Abdul Fatawu.
The Ghanaian international spent most of the 2024/25 campaign injured, but started the season in excellent form with two assists in 11 Premier League appearances.

One of those came in a thrilling comeback win over Southampton in October, where former Everton defender Conor Coady waxed lyrical over Fatawu’s impact after the game.
“Abdul Fatawu who come on was sensational, sensational, absolutely brilliant,” Coady said on BBC 5Live.
“Having him and Stephy Mavididi the pair of them are absolute fliers. They get the ball, they are direct and they run at you. And we said yesterday when Abdul come on, you didn’t want to be a full back being against him because he had the bit between his teeth.
“It’s one of them where you know as a player and you don’t play, you have that little bit of a thing anyway ‘I need to impress and I need to do well’. And he certainly had that. He said to me early on in the game, ‘I want to come on early here Coads’.
“He was absolutely fantastic. Every time he got it, he was direct against Charlie Taylor. Honestly, he’s a great full back, Charlie Taylor, but when Abdul is in that mood and when he’s running at you, it’s so tough for any full back.”
Fatawu has since returned to the Championship with Leicester and was electric in their opening victory against Sheffield Wednesday, but the 21-year-old is surely enticed by an instant return to the top-flight.
Fatawu is a better option than Tyler Dibling
Fatawu isn’t the only second-tier winger Everton have shown an interest in, with Southampton’s Tyler Dibling also emerging as an option.
It was reported that Southampton wanted £50m for Dibling, something the Toffees weren’t willing to pay and negotiations have stalled.
Although Dibling was left out of the Saints squad against Wrexham on Saturday, a move for him is now dead in the water after going for Grealish.
Fortunately, Fatawu is an improvement on the 19-year-old, after proving he can decimate defences in the Championship and the Premier League before his injury.
