Micah Richards issues shock Everton prediction for 2025-26 as Jack Grealish verdict shared
Everton are closing in on the signing of Jack Grealish, in a significant coup for the club.
David Moyes has been keen to add creative firepower to his squad, and after weeks of frustration in the market, there has now been a breakthrough.
A deal has been agreed between Manchester City and Everton for Grealish to spend the season on loan with the Toffees, who will have the option to make the move permanent.
Former Man City defender Micah Richards is impressed with the deal, and has now made a very bold claim about Everton as a result.

Richards backs Everton for top 10 as Grealish deal agreed
Everton finished 13th in the Premier League last season after a second-half resurgence under Moyes, and will be hoping to climb the table even further.
Grealish could be a transformative signing if he rediscovers his best form, and Richards believes that he can help carry Everton into the top 10.

“I think that Everton will be just fine. I think the players that they’re being linked with, I think the manager who we’ve worked with many times, he knows exactly what he’s doing,” Richards told The Rest Is Football podcast.
- Grealish fell down the pecking order under Pep Guardiola, and needs a fresh start to revive his career.
- The England international was City’s club-record signing from Aston Villa in 2021, joining for £100 million.
“I think he’s adapted to the way the new school football is played, but still has his principles, so I think Everton will be fine.
“I’ve heard that the Grealish news is real, and if they get Grealish, I think he’ll be devastating. So I’m going to say top 10 for Everton.”
Moyes hailed ahead of Grealish signing
Landing Grealish is a statement signing for Everton, and it also shows the progress they have made since Moyes returned to the club to replace Sean Dyche.
Alan Shearer has now backed Moyes to keep helping Everton progress, and hailed the Scot for the job he has done so far.
“Yeah, I think he’s… I mean, we love Moyesy. I think he’s a great manager,” Shearer stated in response to Richards.
“Yeah, he did a great job, and I think he’ll continue to do that, and he’ll bring in more players in between now and the end of the window, and Everton will be fine. Yeah, I’ve got in and around mid-table, I think.”
Moyes will now add Grealish to his attacking ranks which already has Iliman Ndiaye, Thierno Barry and Carlos Alcaraz, but another winger will be targeted before the end of the window.
Everton have ended their interest in Tyler Dibling, but a right-winger to complement Grealish and Ndiaye could help further raise the level at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
