‘TFG continue to show intent’ as Everton make offer to sign Dusan Vlahovic

The Friedkin Group are determined to have a summer to remember at Everton as an offer for Dusan Vlahovic is tabled.

Everton have already completed the loan signing of Jack Grealish from Manchester City.

David Moyes will be keen to continue strengthening his squad ahead of the Toffees’ Premier League opener against Leeds United at Elland Road on Monday, 18 August.

And it seems TFG are ready to back their manager after a recent transfer update coming out of Italy.

Everton’s proposal rejected by Vlahovic

Everton’s story with Vlahovic appears to be over before it even began.

As reported by Corriere dello Sport [via TuttoMercatoWeb, 13 August], Everton sent a proposal to the Serbian forward.

Following the “unbelievable” arrival of Grealish, this would be a statement signing that outlines The Friedkin Group’s intent to prosper in the market.

However, it is understood that Vlahovic did not consider the offer. Instead, it seems likely that he sees out the final year of his contract in Italy.

Rejection is a difficult pill to swallow. But the fact that the offer was made shows that The Friedkin Group are ambitious. This should delight Everton fans who will no doubt be keen on a couple more signings this summer.

Everton should steer clear of Vlahovic

The Toffees could bid their time with Vlahovic and sign him when he becomes a free agent next summer.

However, a move for the Serbian could be a mistake. The striker has had several injuries since signing for Juventus in 2022. While these have been on the smaller side, they have been frequent.

Everton need players who can be available for the bigger games. Not ones who are sidelined every one to two months with a new injury.

As a result, the Toffees should steer clear of Vlahovic if he becomes available to sign next season.
