Jordan Pickford will love ‘shock’ signing Everton look set to complete
Everton are ramping up their business in the final few weeks of the summer transfer window.
Thierno Barry was the marquee arrival for Everton, with David Moyes pushing for his signing from Villarreal.
Along with the French striker, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Adam Aznou, Mark Travers and Jack Grealish also sealed their moves to the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Everton want to sign Wolves goalkeeper Tom King
Despite bringing in Travers, the Toffees remain keen on signing another goalkeeper this summer.
Wolves keeper Tom King has emerged as an option for Everton and the deal to bring him to the club is understood to be at an advanced stage.
According to Alan Nixon on 15 August, the Toffees are eyeing a “shock” raid on Wolves to sign the Wales international.
King is believed to be keen on moving to the Blues as they’re looking to add more cover to their goalkeeping department.
- King was nominated for the August League Two Player of the Month Award in September 2019, having kept five clean sheets and not conceding for over 500 minutes in the division.
- He scored the first goal of his career in January 2021 in a 1-1 draw with Cheltenham Town, breaking former Everton keeper Asmir Begovic’s Guinness World record for the longest goal
His first team chances at Molineux are limited as he’s third in the pecking order there.
The 30-year-old has already made his Premier League debut and is open to competing for his spot in the team.

Jordan Pickford will love King’s imminent arrival
Everton’s signing of King as a backup goalkeeper is a savvy piece of business, enhancing squad depth while fostering competition for Jordan Pickford.
King, a 30-year-old Wales international, brings experience and a 6’6” presence that suits the Premier League’s physical demands.
His arrival challenges Pickford, Everton’s undisputed first-choice, to maintain his high standards, potentially elevating his performances.
Crucially, King’s reliability allows Pickford to be rested during cup competitions, preserving his energy for critical league matches while ensuring the Toffees remain competitive in all competitions.
King’s modern goalkeeping attributes, like strong distribution, align with Moyes’ tactical approach, making him a seamless fit.
The Wolves stopper represents low financial risk with high upside, providing cover and professionalism.
This move strengthens Everton’s goalkeeping unit, offering flexibility and stability, which could prove vital in a gruelling season.
