David Moyes must go all out to sign ‘fabulous’ forward for bargain price, Everton have no excuse

David Moyes must urge The Friedkin Group (TFG) to splash the cash at Everton in the final weeks of the transfer window.

Jack Grealish’s debut against Leeds United in the Premier League on 18 August at Elland Road proved that the Scottish manager still has a lot of work to do in L5.

Moyes wasn’t pleased with Beto’s performances during pre-season, and the Guinea-Bissau striker didn’t do much against the Whites in West Yorkshire.

While the Blues have signed Thierno Barry from Villarreal this summer, they may have an opportunity to further bolster their attack in a bargain deal.

Christantus Uche could leave Getafe for less than £13m, Everton should pursue transfer

Getafe haven’t received any offer for centre-forward Christantus Uche yet, according to Eduardo Burgos.

The AS journalist revealed on X on 20 August that the Toffees aren’t in talks with the LaLiga outfit for the 22-year-old, with only informal inquiries received at Estadio Coliseum.

It’s been claimed that the Nigeria international’s situation is stalled at the moment, but he could leave the Spanish club for less than £13million before the end of August.

Uche is a versatile attacker capable of playing as a number 10 as well as on the left-wing, and his two-footedness could potentially make him a valuable addition at the Blues.

Christantus Uche vs Thierno Barry: What will David Moyes be getting?

Uche has been linked with a move to Bramley-Moore Dock in recent weeks, and the Toffees arguably have no excuses to miss out on him, considering the possible price tag.

The Getafe star could bring something different to the Blues with his creativity and ability to play multiple positions.

While Barry was a better goalscorer in LaLiga last season, the Nigerian national played as more of a playmaker for Getafe, often coming deep to pick up the ball and set up his teammates.

David Moyes should push Everton to sign Uche, and having already spent £27million on Barry earlier this summer, the Nigeria international’s valuation is relatively low.

Uche moved to Getafe last summer from third-tier Primera Federacion club AD Ceuta, but seemingly fit into LaLiga, with manager Jose Bordalas calling him “fabulous”, as relayed by soccernet.

With the race still open for Uche’s signature, fans will hope the Merseyside outfit finally make a concrete approach for him.
