Everton transfer target ‘willing to leave’ as David Moyes readying big offer

Everton could potentially pull off a significant transfer coup before Deadline Day at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

David Moyes has been vocal about wanting more signings at the Toffees before the end of August.

The Friedkin Group (TFG) have made Jack Grealish Everton’s marquee signing this summer, and they may now be able to attract more quality players.

With just a few days left in the ongoing transfer window, the Merseyside outfit could possibly be readying an offer that can’t be refused.

Malick Fofana open to Olympique Lyonnais exit as Everton want transfer

Olympique Lyonnais could accept £34million from the Toffees for forward Malick Fofana, according to L’Equipe.

The news outlet reported on 20 August that the Blues are the only team to have shown concrete interest in the 20-year-old, but he has rejected a move to L5 for now.

It’s been claimed that the Belgium international is waiting for an offer from a Champions League team, with the youngster “willing to leave” the Ligue 1 outfit.

If a top team doesn’t make a move for Fofana soon, the Merseyside outfit may see the door open for his transfer by convincing the winger with attractive terms.

David Moyes has transfer priorities at Hill Dickinson Stadium

Fofana’s move to Everton will arguably require significant investment from the Toffees, with their opening bid of £31.4m rejected by Lyon.

The Blues didn’t have the best of performances in their opening game against Leeds United at Elland Road in the Premier League on 18 August, and Moyes will definitely be hoping to improve on it.

With a lack of depth in the Scottish manager’s first-team squad, he was forced to play the likes of James Garner and Carlos Alcaraz in rather unorthodox positions.

Everton should look to bolster their backline in the coming weeks, but a new right-winger also seems like a priority.

While Dwight McNeil could potentially play on the right side of the attack, it looks like Moyes has other plans for him.

Fofana’s best position is on the left, and the Blues already have Iliman Ndiaye and Jack Grealish capable of playing there.
