Shock new twist in Youssef Chermiti’s Everton exit to join Rangers

Youssef Chermiti looks to be on the move from Everton this summer.

The striker has never found form at the Toffees since his £12.5million move to Merseyside in 2023.

In fact, the 21-year-old is yet to even score a goal for Everton, despite featuring for the first team 24 times.

As a result, Chermiti has been in talks to join Rangers in the hope of recovering his form at the Europa League outfit.

However, the transfer saga has now taken a new twist with just days left of the transfer window.

Youssef Chermiti set for permanent Everton exit

It is clear that Chermiti’s move to Everton has not worked out.

Despite the striker still being 21 years old, the youngster has shown few signs of reaching his potential at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

On top of his performances, Chermiti has also struggled with injuries at Everton, which have only hurt his progress.

Therefore, it had been reported by many outlets that Chermiti was set to join Rangers on loan.

However, according to Raman Bhardwaj via X on 30 August, the striker is in fact set for a permanent move to Ibrox if the deal is completed.

It is currently unknown how much Everton could receive from the transfer.

Everton must include a sell-on clause in any Youssef Chermiti sale

While Everton are right to move on Chermiti on a permanent transfer, the Toffees must include a sell-on clause in the deal.

The striker is still young and could easily unlock his potential in the Scottish Premiership.

In recent years, Rangers have had numerous players whom they have sold for a massive profit after a successful development period.

Therefore, if this happens with Chermiti, Everton have to protect their interests and ensure that they profit from this potential outcome.
