Everton star Jack Grealish is doing something better than any other player across Europe
Jack Grealish has been in scintillating form since signing from Everton on loan from Manchester City.
Everton beat Wolves 3-2 on Saturday, 30 August, with the winger bagging two assists for Beto and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall’s goals.
With the contribution, Grealish broke an Everton assist record, becoming the first Toffee to register two assists in consecutive Premier League games.
Erling Haaland dubbed Grealish “Jack De Bruyne”, following the England international’s display.
David Moyes’ side have enjoyed a strong start to the season, with the win at Wolves marking three consecutive victories in all competitions.

The Everton dressing room must be “absolutely buzzing” with Jack Grealish’s impact, said John Parrott on Wednesday, and the former snooker World champion is correct.
The midfielder has completely transformed Moyes’ attack since his arrival, with the Toffees looking a different team entirely going forward this season.
Dewsbury-Hall has also aided in the change, with the former Chelsea man providing three big chances so far this season.
- Grealish’s four assists in the Premier League this season outweigh the two he registered across the last two seasons for Manchester City.
- The midfielder has already put up half of the direct goal contributions he registered in 32 games across all competitions last season.
But Grealish has been the main culprit, standing out in several key stats across the Premier League.
According to data collected by FBref over the last 365 days, the 29-year-old is in the top one per cent for progressive carries compared to his positional peers in Europe’s big five leagues, the Champions League, and the Europa League.
Grealish has averaged 7.02 progressive carries per 90, constantly driving his team up the pitch, usually before winning a foul, or making a key contribution.

Grealish stands out in several other stats too, making for a stat-sheet full of impressive numbers when put up against his opponents.

The midfielder completes over five shot-creating actions every 90 minutes, and also ranks in the top one per cent for carries into the penalty area.
Grealish is perhaps best known for his ability to draw fouls from the opposition, with quick feet and, perhaps, a nous when it comes to knowing when to fall to floor.
The England international draws just over three fouls in an average 90 minutes, but against Wolves, it was a staggering seven – in the Premier League this season, only Cody Gakpo has drawn more.
