Jack Grealish faces new England issue as Thomas Tuchel stance emerges

Jack Grealish faces an issue away from Everton, if he wants to get back into the England squad for the 2026 World Cup.

BBC Journalist Sami Mokbel, answering a Q&A on 5 September, claimed that Grealish will get a recall if he continues to play the way he has for the Blues.

However, he said: “An issue might be that Tuchel, as I understand it, views Grealish as a central attacker of which the German has options – Cole Palmer and Jude Bellingham among others – but he won’t be able to ignore Grealish if his early form continues.”

Michael Keane to be furious after new Everton contract update

Michael Keane will surely be livid after a new update on Everton’s contract plans, as he was not included in them.

Daily Mail journalist Dominic King claimed on 5 September that James Garner, Vitaliy Mykolenko and James Tarkowski were set for talks over new deals.

Keane is out of contract in the summer of 2026, and he was not one of the names that the Toffees are set to start negotiations with.

Friedkin Group make new move as Everton documents revealed

The Friedkin Group have made a new move at Everton as new financial documents emerged.

A statement of capital following an allotment of shares appeared on Companies House on 4 September, revealing that the Blues have raised £46million in new capital, with 262,863 new shares, which were issued at £175 a share.

Everton insider Paul Quinn, who goes by The Esk, revealed the reason for the fresh cash injection, saying: “Anything. Probably our transfer activity and/or working capital”

Jordan Pickford set for new Everton contract

Everton are set to offer Jordan Pickford fresh terms to remain on Merseyside for the foreseeable future.

A report from Sky Sports claimed that the Toffees want the former Sunderland man to remain between the sticks for the rest of his career.

As midday passed on the live broadcast (12:02 pm), the host said: “We’re going to start with some breaking news this hour, regarding Everton and England goalkeeper Jordan Pickford.

“Everton want their number one goalkeeper to stay at the club for the rest of his career and are set to open contract talks to make that happen.

“Sky Sports News understands the proposed new contract could take Pickford past his 36th birthday.

“Everton believe that Pickford is happy, settled, and open to the idea of committing the majority, possibly all of his remaining years at the highest level to the club.”
