Jordan Pickford’s best moments for Everton as contract news emerges
Jordan Pickford has had many fine moments since he joined Everton in 2017.
Pickford has emerged as England’s number one, due to his time with the Blues, and he is a fan favourite on the blue half of Merseyside.
David Moyes can rely on Pickford to produce magical moments on a consistent basis for the Toffees, and he is set for many more.
With Pickford set to sign a new deal with Everton, Goodison News looks at his best saves in his time with the Blues.

Everton 3-1 Crystal Palace – 8 February 2020
Pickford has made a number of fantastic saves for Everton, but this one may be his best.
He had earlier allowed a tame Christian Benteke effort to go under his body, giving Crystal Palace an equaliser.
However, he redeemed himself with a fantastic close-range save to deny the Belgian another equaliser after Richarlison had restored the Blues’ lead and they went onto win 3-1.
Liverpool 0-2 Everton – 20 February 2021
Everton had not won at Anfield, the home of arch-rivals Liverpool since 1999, before a 2-0 victory in the COVID-affected season.
Pickford was a key part of that win, making key saves from Mohamed Salah, Jordan Henderson and Georginio Wijnaldum.
He ended up with six saves, one claim and one punch in the contest, and the pride of many Evertonians after a difficult season, with many individual errors.
Everton 1-0 Chelsea – 1 May 2022
Pickford was at his best again when the Blues beat Chelsea 1-0 at Goodison Park in 2022 in a crucial result for their survival hopes.
Mason Mount’s effort bounced off both posts and fell to Cesar Azpilicueta, who blasted an effort towards the Toffees’ net.
Pickford sprinted across his line and produced a superb save to deny the Spaniard and keep the lead that Richarlison had given his side.
Sheffield United 2-2 Everton – 3 September 2023
While it was not a particularly memorable result from a season when Everton finished 15th, Pickford’s heroics at the death will live long in the memory.
With the score at 2-2, the Three Lions ace pulled off a fantastic double save to keep the point for his side.
Pickford saved a header from Oli McBurnie onto the bar and somehow got to the follow-up as the United striker tried to poke home the rebound.
Everton 2-0 Brighton – 25 August 2025
Pickford was in inspired form in Everton’s first-ever competitive match at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
The Blues beat Brighton 2-0, with goals from Iliman Ndiaye and James Garner, but Pickford’s heroics took most of the attention.
A penalty was awarded against Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall for handball, but the England stopper denied Danny Welbeck from the spot, to ensure the Toffees won at their new home and take his save tally to four in the clash.
