Everton Women final WSL position predicted by supercomputer ahead of Liverpool clash
Everton Women will be looking to improve on their second successive eighth-place WSL finish this season.
Brian Sorensen‘s side finished in the same position as they had the season before, and will hope to take a step forward in the Women’s Super League.
Everton Women will use Goodison Park after the men’s team moved to the Hill Dickinson Stadium, but their opening game will be away at Anfield against Liverpool.
Everton fans will be hoping to see Maz Pacheco, Ornella Vignola and several other new additions that have been made this summer in action.

Everton predicted to have a solid season
Everton’s opening weekend clash with Liverpool will be seen as the measuring stick for where they are going to finish.
The Opta supercomputer has predicted that the Blues will finish one place behind their local rivals in sixth position.
It gives Sorensen’s side a 15.2 per cent chance of finishing sixth, with no shot at the title and just a 0.7 per cent chance of finishing in the top three and securing a Champions League berth.

Brian Sorensen has to be happy with a sixth-place finish
If the prediction becomes reality and the Toffees finish sixth, it would represent progress for Sorensen’s side.
- Sorensen is the second-longest serving manager in the WSL, having been in charge since 2022
- Secured a sixth-place finish in the 2022/23 season
- Two eighth-place finishes in the last two seasons.
There is every chance that they can do so; they have strengthened their squad with some brilliant additions and will fancy their chances of upsetting the apple cart and finishing above their station.
They are not ready to challenge the big teams, the likes of Arsenal, Manchester City and Chelsea, but they are heading in the right direction, and there is a lot to be excited about.
Sorensen will hope that they can get over the injury issues that left him looking dejected on the sidelines for a large portion of the last campaign.
It could be an exciting few years for Everton Women, with the Friedkin Group seemingly taking a more involved role in recent months.
