Jordan Pickford produces outstanding feat for England amid Everton contract talks
Jordan Pickford’s good form at Everton has continued on international duty.
The 31-year-old started for England against Andorra on Saturday, with the goalkeeper helping to oversee a 2-0 victory.
It was a great end to a positive week for the goalkeeper, with Everton reportedly entering contract talks with Pickford over a new deal.
However, while the Everton star had little to do in the match, he has now produced an impressive feat, which shows just how important the goalkeeper is for England.

Jordan Pickford hasn’t conceded in 540 minutes for England
Pickford has become one of England’s most reliable players in recent years and has now taken part in four different tournaments.
On Saturday, the goalkeeper earned his 77th cap for his country, as he looks to qualify for the 2026 World Cup in the USA, Canada and Mexico.
Here, the keeper kept another clean sheet against Andorra, with Pickford not having to make a save.
- Pickford has picked up 77 caps for England
- The goalkeeper was part of the England sides that reached both the Euro 2020 and 2024 finals
- Pickford is now looking to qualify for the 2026 World Cup
However, this helped the 31-year-old achieve an outstanding feat, with Tom Jenkins confirming via X on 6 September that the goalkeeper has now not conceded in 540 minutes for England.
During this time, he has overseen six clean sheets in both the World Cup qualifiers and the UEFA Nations League, with the last time he conceded coming in the 2-1 defeat to Greece in October 2024.
On top of this, in both matches the keeper hasn’t played during this period, England have conceded, with Thomas Tuchel’s side even losing 3-1 to Senegal in June.

Jordan Pickford is still growing as a player
Pickford has no doubt started the 2025/26 campaign in sensational fashion.
The goalkeeper has been excellent for Everton so far this season, proving to be vital to their early form.
Pickford’s penalty save against Brighton was crucial to ensuring Everton picked up three points in their first competitive match at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
Now, the goalkeeper has spoken to the Liverpool Echo on 7 September about his progress.

“I think I’m still growing,” Pickford said after the Andorra win. “I’ll never say I’m at my peak, I’ll always be aiming to peak at the right levels and always wanting to improve.
“I don’t want to be at my peak and then all of a sudden do that (gestures downwards). I want to keep improving and keep pushing myself, pushing the limits to get even better.
“By that, I mean training hard every day with Luc (David Lucas, Everton goalkeeper coach) and the lads, putting in performances week in, week out and being consistent.
“I think I’ve done that over the last few years and I keep striving to be even better.
“Being 31 or 24 it doesn’t matter about your age so long as I keep improving and feeling good, which I am and I’m still young as a keeper.”
