Sergio Reguilon to welcome Everton transfer after Vitalii Mykolenko concern emerges

Everton had a successful transfer window after David Moyes brought in nine new players to the Merseyside club.

The additions of Jack Grealish and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall look outstanding so far, with many already having a massive impact early on.

Everton’s 3-2 victory over Wolves took them up to fifth in the Premier League table as action stopped due to the international break.

However, despite the initial success, the Toffees could now find themselves seeking a left-back, with Sergio Reguilon being a potential option.

Byran King: Everton will be looking at Sergio Reguilon

It has been confirmed over the international break that Vitalii Mykolenko has picked up an injury, a blow for Everton.

The left-back was sent home early, with the 26-year-old set for a period on the sidelines.

Therefore, it is clear that Moyes needs a left-back, and Bryan King has backed Everton to sign Reguilon on a free, who had been linked to the Merseyside club earlier this year.

King exclusively told Goodison News“He’s a free transfer, so it would certainly be an option to look at.

“They’re a bit stretched across the whole defence at the moment, with Branthwaite’s injury concerns.

“I would imagine that Reguilon would be more than willing to go and join a club like Everton.

“It seems like Everton are moving in a forward direction, instead of being in a relegation fight.”

Sergio Reguilon would be a sensible addition for Everton

On a short-term deal, Reguilon would be a good signing for the Toffees.

Not only is the Spaniard available on a free, but he also has vast experience in the Premier League.

Everton were backed to give Reguilon a two-year deal earlier this year, and if this can be struck, it would benefit all parties.

Hopefully, Moyes will look to quickly secure the former Tottenham man before his head is turned by another club.
