Oscar Piastri makes Tim Cahill admission in new Everton vs Aston Villa prediction
Oscar Piastri may just have admitted his support for Everton ahead of the Premier League returning this weekend.
Everton are looking to continue their impressive Premier League form when they welcome Aston Villa to Merseyside on Saturday afternoon.
The Villa Park outfit have failed to win in their opening three matches as they head to the Hill Dickinson Stadium on 11 September.
Everton have been predicted to lose by a supercomputer, but the Formula One driver does not agree with that.

Oscar Piastri predicts Everton win vs Aston Villa
Everton have received a boost with Vitalii Mykolenko’s fitness for the clash, and that could help them maintain their brilliant form.
Piastri believes that the Toffees will win, admitting that he still remembers the days when fellow Australian Tim Cahill was thriving in blue at Goodison Park.
Making his predictions for the Premier League in a video released on 11 September, he said: “Everton versus Aston Villa, I am still reliving the Tim Cahill glory days at Everton, so I will go 1-0 to Everton.”
David Moyes will hope Oscar Piastri’s prediction comes true
Moyes would bite your hand off for a scrappy victory against Unai Emery’s side, as although they have started the season poorly, they are still contenders for a European berth.
Moyes is hoping to qualify for Europe with the Blues, and if they are to do so, they need to beat the sides that are expected to challenge for those places.
- The Villans drew with Newcastle, before consecutive losses to Brentford and Crystal Palace
- Everton lost to Leeds before wins over Brighton and Wolves
- The Blues have scored five goals, conceding three in their opening matches
- Villa have not scored, while conceding four goals
Beating Villa would be a huge statement from the Toffees, in their pursuit of European qualification, as Emery’s side are the metronome at the moment, for where a side should be, who wants to get into the top echelons of the league.
It would only give the Blues more confidence if they could secure victory as the league returns from international action.
Moyes will hope that Piastri’s football predictions are as good as his driving skills in a Formula One car, as he currently leads the championship in his sport.
