Every Everton winner of Premier League Player of the Month as Jack Grealish joins star-studded list

Jack Grealish was named as Premier League Player of the Month for August 2025.

Grealish has been on fire since joining Everton from Manchester City on loan, and has become the first-ever Blues player to record multiple assists in consecutive Premier League games.

David Moyes’ men have played with joy and freedom, and it reflects in the morale of the Everton team, which has improved thanks to Grealish.

The Man City loan star has now been named as the Premier League’s best player for August.

Grealish is the first Everton player to win the award since September 2020, when Dominic Calvert-Lewin won it.

Goodison News has now taken a look at every Everton player to have ever won Premier League Player of the Month.

1990s – Duncan Ferguson and Kevin Campbell shine

Duncan Ferguson was the first-ever Everton player to win the Premier League player of the month award in February 1995.

Ferguson is a true Everton legend for both his iconic playing career at the club and his brief time managing the Merseyside club.

Andrei Kanchelskis won it in April 1996 after he scored five goals in only four games, including a hat-trick against Sheffield Wednesday.

Kevin Campbell was the final Everton player to win the award in the decade when he took home the award in April 1999. He scored six goals in six games.

2000s – Andy Johnson’s Merseyside Derby heroics

Andy Johnson was named Premier League Player of the Month in September 2006. He scored four goals in four matches, which included a brace against Liverpool.

Phil Jagielka then won it in February 2009 as he managed to keep a clean sheet in every match of the month.

2010s – Romelu Lukaku steals the show

Nikica Jelavić became the first Croatian to win the honour in April 2012. He scored six goals in only four matches, which included a brace at Old Trafford against Manchester United.

In November of 2012, it was Marouane Fellaini who won it. He scored four goals in four games from midfield.

Romelu Lukaku was the winner in March 2017, following his four goals and two assists in only three outings.

Lukaku is still one of the best signings made by the club to date. He also left for a massive profit when going to Manchester United in the summer of 2017.

2020s

Calvert-Lewin‘s impressive five goals in only three games saw him receive the award in September 2020.

Grealish bagging four assists in only three games was enough to see him win it in August 2025.
