Beto leaves pundit in disbelief live on BBC with shocking moment in Everton vs Aston Villa
Everton had the better of the opening exchanges against Aston Villa on Saturday.
David Moyes‘ side were looking to continue their positive start to the season at the Hill Dickinson Stadium on 13 September.
Everton could become the third team to win two Premier League matches at a new stadium, if they can overcome Unai Emery’s side.
Jack Grealish was hoping to star for Everton against his former club, but it was Beto who took the headlines early on.

Beto misses a glorious opportunity to put Everton in front
Beto was selected over Thierno Barry for Everton, as Moyes persisted with the Guinea-Bissau striker over the Frenchman.
The decision nearly paid off in the second minute, as Iliman Ndiaye played a ball across to box to Beto, but he could not get his feet right to convert.
Former Liverpool star Stephen Warnock could not believe that the 27-year-old had not put his side in the lead.
Speaking on BBC Radio 5 Live, he said: “It is a brilliant chance for Beto, as it comes across to his right foot, he miscues it with his right foot and it hits his standing left foot.
“It is a shocker from Beto. It’s a simple tap in. It should be 1-0.”

Everton need Beto to be more clinical
The Blues need their main striker to score in that situation more than Beto does, it was an easy chance, and he should have gotten Ndiaye an assist.
If he continues to miss chances like that, then Barry should take his place in the team in the near future, as the Toffees need their attackers to be firing if they are to get into Europe.
- Beto scored eight Premier League goals last season
- Played 30 times in the league, starting just 15 times
- He has featured three times this season with one goal before the Villans clash
Grealish, Ndiaye, and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall are regularly coming up with the good in terms of creativity, and that cannot be wasted by poor finishing.
Moyes needs Beto to either step up and take on the burden, or step aside and give Barry an opportunity to do so.
If they are to qualify for Europe, they need to be beating teams like Villa, who are also hoping to challenge, and the man leading the line needs to produce, especially from easy chances.
