Everton could do something only two Premier League clubs have ever done vs Aston Villa, Tottenham did it last

Everton are looking to win three Premier League games in a row on Saturday.

Everton welcome Aston Villa to the Hill Dickinson Stadium on 13 September, as they look to continue their good form.

Jack Grealish was named Premier League Player of the Month after his brilliant start to the season and is set to face his boyhood club next.

David Moyes saw his side win their first-ever game at their new ground and now will want to make it two from two, joining a small historic club in the process.

Everton have chance to join history against Aston Villa

Everton defeated Brighton 2-0 in their opening game at the Hill Dickinson Stadium on matchday two.

The Toffees now have a chance to replicate something only two Premier League teams have done before.

If Everton were to beat Aston Villa, they would become only the third team to have won their first two matches at their second permanent home stadium.

The other two teams to achieve this feat are Derby at Pride Park in 1997 and Spurs at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in 2019.

Everton have a poor recent record against Villa, but with a chance to remain unbeaten at their new home, it will give them extra motivation to win.

Everton more than capable of beating Villa

Villa have yet to win a game this season and still haven’t found the back of the net in three games.

Everton have been relatively solid defensively, with Moyes having his side well set up and difficult to break down, as usual.

The Toffees will look to the likes of Jack Grealish and perhaps Tyler Dibling to provide the attacking spark, which has returned after years away.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall has also been impressive and there may be a debut for midfielder Merlin Rohl alongside him.

All of these factors give Everton more than a chance of grabbing the third win in four games to start the season.

It’s time to keep proving that the Toffees are ready for European football again, starting here.
