What Aston Villa fans did to Jack Grealish immediately after Everton draw
Jack Grealish could not muster up a bit of magic in Everton’s 0-0 draw with Aston Villa.
Everton star Grealish was rewarded for his fine form with the Premier League Player of the Month award for August.
He was hoping to break his duck against his former club as Everton took on Aston Villa at the Hill Dickinson Stadium on Saturday.
However, David Moyes‘ side could not find a breakthrough, and Villans supporters made sure Grealish knew how they feel.

Jack Grealish shares moment with Aston Villa fans after Everton draw
Grealish did not manage to extend his Everton record against his former side, and it seems like their supporters appreciated that.
Liverpool Echo reporter Chris Beesley shared via X that Grealish had a moment with his former fans after the final whistle.
In a column on 13 September, he said: “What was somewhat poignant after the final whistle, though – once most fans had cleared out – was the sight of Grealish walking over to that corner of the ground, alongside another Villa old boy in the home line-up, Idrissa Gueye, and the pair of them clapping and being applauded back by those who were still in their seats.”
Everyone loves Jack Grealish’s revival at Everton
It would be hard to find somebody who does not love Grealish’s return to form with the Blues.
Grealish is one of the most popular footballers in the country, due to his natural flair and skill, and the fact that he is just a normal lad.
- Grealish made his name at Villa, notching 32 goals and 43 assists in 213 matches in all competitions
- Moved to City and played 157 times, with 17 goals and 23 assists in that time
- Joined Everton on loan, four assists in four games so far
People resonate with him, and many felt sorry for the situation that he found himself in with the Citizens, after securing his £100million move to the Etihad Stadium.
It is great to see Grealish thriving again, where he is loved, and it may even help him get back into the England squad for the 2026 World Cup.
The gesture from Grealish and the Villa fans is a very classy one, and it shows how people generally feel about him, because they could have been nasty and they were not.
He may have secured a huge fee, but some Villans felt as though he was not loyal to their club, and some dislike him, but it was a nice moment for all.
