Delightful Jordan Pickford news emerges out of Everton despite baffling narrative spotted
Jordan Pickford has emerged as a massive fan favourite at Everton over the years.
Pickford’s sensational form for Everton has earned him the spot as England’s number one goalkeeper, and he has represented his country at European Championships and World Cups.
Everton brought in Mark Travers and Tom King over the summer, but Pickford is the undisputed starter in the position for David Moyes.
Evertonians love the ex-Sunderland man, and he seemingly loves playing for the Toffees, judging from the latest update on his plans.

Alan Myers loves Jordan Pickford news from Everton
Pickford looks set to sign a new contract with Everton, which will keep him at the club for the foreseeable future, potentially beyond his 36th birthday.
Alan Myers is delighted that the 31-year-old looks set to commit his future to the Toffees, but is confused by the bizarre narrative that has emerged around him.
It is often claimed that England could do better between the sticks, but Myers thinks that is a load of rubbish.
In a column for Everton News on 15 September, he said: “I was delighted to hear this week that the club are looking to tie down Jordan Pickford to a new contract, which would see him pretty much end his career at the club.
“Pickford’s importance to the squad and the club cannot be underestimated, questioned or disputed. There is no doubt his contribution over the last few years, in particular, has ensured Everton has remained a Premier League club as they moved into the fantastic Hill Dickinson stadium.
“I find the subtle negative narrative which rears its head all too often nauseating and baffling. Pickford has been faultless for club and country for a very long time now and deserves more respect than the sniping which is regularly heard, especially during international breaks.”
England cannot do better than Everton star Jordan Pickford
The Three Lions cannot do better than Pickford between the sticks; the argument is an absolute non-starter.
Pickford has been near perfect for club and country in the last few years, and the debate is tiresome, as the players that get mentioned alongside him cannot lace his boots.
- Pickford has played 78 times for England
- He has conceded 53 goals in those matches
- He has kept 40 clean sheets in that time
- He has played in two World Cups and two European Championships
If Pickford was making mistakes every week and whenever he played for England, it would be understandable, but he does not, so it is unnecessary.
There are plenty of positions where Thomas Tuchel can pick from multiple options, but goalkeeper is not one of them, as Pickford is the clear best in the position.
The Blues stopper should be one of, if not the first name, on the teamsheet for the ex-Chelsea manager in the United States for the World Cup next summer.
