Everton news round-up: Jack Grealish bromance continues as teammate snubbed

Everton remain busy as they prepare for the upcoming Merseyside derby against Liverpool on Saturday.

The Toffees are looking to continue their good form that has seen them rise up to sixth in the Premier League table.

This has come after Everton’s 0-0 draw with Aston Villa, with David Moyes’ side believing they should have claimed more than a point.

Now, Goodison News has rounded up all of the latest news from the past 24 hours.

Robbie Savage mocks Roman Kemp for Everton claim

Everton’s move to the Hill Dickinson Stadium has been a success so far.

In all competitions, the Toffees are unbeaten at home, winning two and drawing one of their three matches.

Speaking after the Villa match, this prompted celebrity television presenter and former radio host Roman Kemp to call the stadium “a fortress”.

However, Robbie Savage mocked Kemp’s Everton claim, believing it was impossible to tell so early on.

“I listened to the show last night, it was a great show, but what was Roman Kemp on about,” the former midfielder joked on BBC Radio 5 Live on Sunday night.

“‘Everton’s new home is a fortress’ – they’ve had two games there! What is he talking about? Seriously! Wow, Roman, you’re better than that.”

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall snubbed for BBC Goal of the Month

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall has been a fantastic buy for Everton since his move from Chelsea in the summer.

The midfielder has quickly established himself as a star player under Moyes, being a major creative spark.

Dewsbury-Hall has even got among the goals, scoring a wonderful effort against Wolves in the 3-2 win.

As a result, this was nominated for BBC’s Goal of the Month award, and was one of the favourites to win.

However, Dewsbury-Hall lost out to Liverpool’s Dominik Szoboszlai, with the Reds star winning thanks to his late free-kick against Arsenal.

Jack Grealish and Erling Haaland bromance continues

Another successful signing so far has been that of Jack Grealish.

Joining on loan from Manchester City, the winger has quickly established himself as one of the Toffees’ best players.

The move came after falling out of favour at the Manchester club under Pep Guardiola.

However, the winger has maintained plenty of friendships, especially with Erling Haaland.

After the striker netted twice against Manchester United on Sunday, Everton’s Grealish responded to Haaland’s Instagram with three emojis, a pair of raised hands, a crown and a light blue heart.
