Jack Grealish sends Erling Haaland message from Everton after Manchester City scenes

Everton loan star Jack Grealish is still keeping an eye on Manchester City.

Grealish has been in inspired form for Everton since joining on a season-long loan from Pep Guardiola‘s side.

Grealish won the Premier League Player of the Month award for August after notching four assists in three matches.

He could not improve on that record in the 0-0 draw with Aston Villa on Saturday, but his performance was still positive at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Jack Grealish and Erling Haaland bromance continues

Erling Haaland sent a message to Grealish after he won the prestigious award, and the Blues star has returned the favour.

Manchester City beat local rivals Manchester United 3-0 on Sunday, with the Norway ace notching the second and third goals in the contest.

The 25-year-old took to Instagram on 14 September, posting an image of his celebration, with a caption of the lotus position emoji, which is similar to the celebration.

Grealish commented on his ex-teammate’s post with three emojis, a pair of raised hands, a crown and a light blue heart.

Everton could have signed Haaland years ago

Everton could have signed Haaland in 2018 for a fee of just £5million, but they passed up on the opportunity.

Decision makers at Goodison Park decided that the Norwegian was too expensive, and he ultimately moved to RB Salzburg, before starring for Borussia Dortmund and earning the move to City.

Haaland was just 18 years old at the time, and there is no guarantee that he would have enjoyed the same success as he has had in England if he had joined the Toffees back at the start of his journey.

However, it will always play on supporters’ minds what could have been with Haaland and Grealish, causing chaos for the Blues every week.

Unfortunately, we will never know, as the Toffees did not take a gamble on the unknown future star and he ended up in Manchester instead, where he has been immense.
