Everton travel to Anfield to face Liverpool on Saturday.
Everton are unbeaten in their last three Premier League matches, but face a Reds side that have won all four of their opening games.
Everton have had a dismal history against Liverpool at Anfield, however, they will be confident after their recent run of positive results.
Here, Goodison News looks at the Blues’ top five moments in Merseyside derbies at the Reds’ home ground.

Almost title clinching win – 21 March 1970
Everton won the First Division title in 1970, and it was helped by a victory at Anfield, against their local rivals.
Joe Royle and Alan Whittle sealed a 2-0 victory for the Toffees, which took them closer to securing the championship.
Harry Catterick’s side would go on to win the league by a total of nine points, despite trailing Leeds United by six heading into the final nine matches.
Graeme Sharpe stunner gives Everton victory – 20 October 1984
The strike from Sharpe that secured a 1-0 win over the Reds may well be the Blues’ best goal in a Merseyside derby.
Sharpe launched a stunning looping volley over Bruce Grobbelaar, to send the visiting supporters wild in the 48th minute.
Howard Kendall’s side would go to win the top-flight title by 13 points, and the UEFA European Cup Winners’ Cup in the 1984/85 campaign.
Kevin Campbell gives Everton famous win – 27 September 1999
The late great Kevin Campbell scored the only goal of the game in a 1-0 victory in September 1999.
Campbell hit a first-time effort past the onrushing Sander Westerveld, who could not prevent it from going in, despite getting a hand to the ball.
It capped a rare away servy victory for the Toffees and secured Campbell’s place in Blues folklore forever.
Phil Jagielka scores an absolute screamer – 27 September 2014
Everton looked to be heading towards a 1-0 loss after Steven Gerrard opened the scoring in the 65th minute.
The contest was in the closing stages as Phil Jagielka stepped up in second-half stoppage time to smash home a stunner.
The centre-back picked up the ball and released a wonderful half-volley, which Simon Mignolet could not stop from finding the top corner.
Everton end Anfield hoodoo – 20 February 2021
Everton had not won at Anfield since that Campbell strike in 1999, but they finally broke their duck in the COVID-hit campaign.
Goals from Richarlison and Gylfi Sigurdsson gave the Blues a famous victory over the reigning Premier League champions.
Carlo Ancelotti’s side were full value for their win, and Toffees supporters, could finally celebrate after an Anfield clash.
