‘Seriously? Wow’ – Robbie Savage takes aim at celebrity’s claim about new Everton stadium
Everton are yet to lose at the Hill Dickinson Stadium since making the switch from Goodison Park, with Saturday marking the ground’s first draw.
It was ultimately a frustrating day as Everton drew 0-0 with Aston Villa, despite enjoying several big chances to win the game.
The Toffees thought they had won it when Michael Keane directed his powerful header on target, but Emiliano Martinez was equal to it.
There were several positives to take, however, with Jack Grealish matching his career record for touches in the opposition box in what was another superb individual performance from the winger.
Grealish praised the Everton fans for the atmosphere they created at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, with the new ground looking to be quickly adopting the same traits held by the iconic Goodison Park.

Robbie Savage mocks Roman Kemp for Everton claim
Everton would have become only the third team to win their first two Premier League matches at a new permanent stadium they had won against Villa.
The Toffees will have been disappointed to not quite achieve that goal, but the move to the Hill Dickinson Stadium has been seamless in many respects.
Goodison Park is held deeply in the hearts of Everton fans, and, after 133 years, was always going to be tough to replace.
But the Hill Dickinson Stadium has put every concern at ease so far, providing a superb atmosphere in the games it has hosted so far.

Speaking after Saturday’s match, celebrity television presenter and former radio host Roman Kemp called the stadium “a fortress”, but Robbie Savage took issue with the comment.
“I listened to the show last night, it was a great show, but what was Roman Kemp on about,” the former midfielder joked on BBC Radio 5 Live on Sunday night.
“‘Everton’s new home is a fortress’ – they’ve had two games there! What is he talking about? Seriously! Wow, Roman, you’re better than that.”
Everton can make Robbie Savage regret his comments
It may be too early to call the Hill Dickinson Stadium a fortress right now, but Everton could well make it a uncomfortable place to travel to this season for their Premier League opposition.
Efforts to make it exactly that have already started, with the Toffees dominating in all three of their home fixtures this season so far.
Perhaps the first real test, however, will arrive when Tottenham travel to Everton on 26 October, when the Hill Dickinson Stadium will hope to make itself heard.
