‘I don’t think I’ve ever told anyone this’ – Robbie Fowler makes Everton admission ahead of Liverpool clash
Liverpool legend Robbie Fowler has made a shock admission ahead of Everton’s trip to Anfield for the Merseyside derby.
Everton will take on Liverpool on Saturday, with David Moyes hoping to continue his side’s strong start to the season.
The home side have enjoyed a perfect start of their own, winning all five of their fixtures across all competitions so far.
Liverpool are massive favourites against Everton, but the Toffees manager will hope to cause a historic upset.
Moyes has never beaten Liverpool at Anfield, and can put a 23-year horror streak to bed at the home of the Premier League champions.

Robbie Fowler admits he played for Everton
It is no secret that Fowler supported Everton as a boy, regularly attending home and away games to watch the Toffees.
But it was Liverpool who would sign him up to their academy, and the striker would make his debut in 1993, emerging as an astonishing talent.
Over the next eight years, Fowler would score 181 goals for the Reds, winning the FA Cup and the League Cup twice.

He would go on to play for Leeds United and Manchester City, before returning to Liverpool for a final season in 2006.
But Fowler has admitted that he actually played a game for Everton when he was just 14.
“I actually played a game for Everton. I was 14 and played an Under-18 game, and I came on as a sub,” the Reds legend told The Added Time Podcast on Wednesday.
“I mean, I was tiny. I’m not the biggest now, but I was tiny when I was 14 playing in this U18 game. I think we won the game, so I have actually worn a shirt for Everton. I don’t think I’ve ever told anyone this.
“I actually wore an Everton shirt and won a game at Bellefield, and I almost scored a diving header at 14. I never scored, we won the game, never scored, but I think that’s the one and only time I played for Everton.”
Everton fans will rue Robbie Fowler admission
Fowler also explained how Everton had offered him free tickets in an attempt to persuade him to leave Liverpool, but the striker had already made his decision.
The forward could have excelled for the Toffees, and perhaps changed the club’s fortunes in the 90s, which were largely full of bottom-half finishes.
Fowler’s early support always remained with Everton, however, and that is something the Blues can always hold over Liverpool.
