Everton make Gabriel Jesus approach as Arsenal transfer stance emerges
Everton have Arsenal forward Gabriel Jesus in their sights ahead of the winter transfer window.
Beto is Everton’s current starting option, with Thierno Barry playing a back-up role after his summer move from Villarreal.
Everton failed to score against Aston Villa, as they laboured to a 0-0 draw, failing to extend their winning streak.
David Moyes may look to address those issues in January, even though Angus Kinnear has claimed Everton won’t panic when that window rolls around.

Everton make Gabriel Jesus move as exit stance revealed
Everton have young striker Braiden Graham making waves at youth level, but they will surely want a move experienced man to lead the line.
Jesus fits the bill, and a report from Football Transfers on 20 September claims that the Blues have made an enquiry for the Brazil star.
It states that West Ham have also made an approach, and the player is considering leaving the Gunners to bolster his 2026 World Cup chances.
Everton need forward options, but is Jesus the answer?
Jesus is a brilliant striker on his day, capable of giving Premier League defences nightmares when he is at his best.
However, he has not been at the level that saw him notch 95 goals and 45 assists in 236 matches for Manchester City in a long time.
- Jesus has not featured for Mikel Arteta’s side this season
- Registered seven goals and two assists last season
- That is a similar contribution level to Beto, who notched eight league goals last time out.
He started his career at the Emirates with 11 goals and seven assists in 26 league games, but he has struggled with injuries and poor form in the last few seasons.
His second season in North London brought just four goals in the league in 27 matches, and he featured just 17 times last season in the competition.
Moyes will have to make a judgment on whether he feels like the 28-year-old can maintain his fitness if he makes the move to Merseyside.
If he thinks that he can, it may be a worthwhile gamble, but is certainly a risk, given the steep decline that the ex-Palmeiras man has endured lately.
