David Moyes has secret Everton weapon standing by amid remarkable Jack Grealish reveal
Jack Grealish has been in sensational form for Everton this season following his loan move from Manchester City.
Everton have an option to buy worth around £50million for Grealish next summer, but the Toffees could also choose to negotiate with the Citizens for a lower price.
Given that the winger will turn 31 at the start of next season, decision-makers at the Hill Dickinson Stadium would likely be hesitant to part with such a fee, despite the England international’s impressive form.
Grealish was named Premier League Player of the Month for August, after bagging two assists in his first two league starts for the Toffees.
And even as Everton lost 2-1 to Liverpool on Saturday, the winger again stood out among the best players on the pitch.

Jack Grealish stands above all in Premier League stat
Grealish has been accused of overplaying at times for Everton this season, but his dribbling is undoubtedly what he is best known for.
During his time at Aston Villa, the winger practically orchestrated the attack, picking up the ball and running at his man time and time again.
Jack Grealish – Premier League 2025/26 | Times fouled |
Vs Leeds United (A) | 1 |
Vs Brighton (H) | 1 |
Vs Wolves (A) | 7 |
Vs Aston Villa (H) | 2 |
Vs Liverpool (A) | 6 |
And at Everton, Grealish has been no different. In fact, in one stat, the England international is massively outperforming every other player in the Premier League.
Grealish has drawn the most fouls in the league this season, with 17. His closest competitors, Cody Gakpo and Patrick Dorgu, have been fouled 12 times each.

Carlos Alcaraz could benefit from Jack Grealish stat
You would have to go back to Leighton Baines for the last time Everton had a truly great free-kick taker.
The left-back was a master of the dead-ball situation, even scoring two in one game against West Ham in 2013.
But with Grealish winning so many around the edge of the box, it only makes sense to have a player on the pitch capable of finding the net from such scenarios.
James Garner scored a stunning free-kick against Salford City in pre-season, and Dwight McNeil has often shown an ability to put a dangerous ball into the box.
But the best option may actually be Carlos Alcaraz. The Argentine scored three of them during his time at Racing Club, and smashed the post against Bournemouth with one on his Everton debut.
Of course, that would require Moyes to start the 22-year-old, but having scored a goal on one of his only two starts for the Toffees this season, the midfielder is not far away from the starting line-up.
And on the basis of this remarkable Grealish stat, Moyes may well have his own secret weapon in Alcaraz.
